Our Lady of Fátima
Fátima, Portugal
A pilgrimage in nine stops to Our Lady of the Rosary
In the summer of 1917, in a stony field called the Cova da Iria, Our Lady appeared six times to three shepherd children — Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta. She came not to the powerful but to the small, and she asked for simple things: the Rosary, prayed every day; penance offered for sinners; and hearts given to her Immaculate Heart. On the thirteenth of October the sun itself danced above seventy thousand people. For nine days you will walk with the children, from the first visit of the Angel to her promise that, in the end, her Immaculate Heart will triumph.
